  • Deven Lane Wins Turbo for $5,339

Deven Lane, winner of the NLH Turbo

As the name suggested, this was very much a turbo, going through 110 entries in about 7 hours of play. I wasn’t able to watch much of this until the final table was set, but after that it was an interesting run.

One big hand for Lane came in a limped pot preflop that went a bit crazy on the flop. With two treys and an ace on board, Lane check-raised from 50k to 125k. Georgios Gializis spidey sense was tingling, and he clicked it back to 250k. After a bit of thought, Lane reclicked back, making it 375k to go. Gializis mucked his hand face up, showing seven-six and Lane rolled over a worse 7 with seven-three suited for the epic bluff.

This was Lane’s 7th career win and should push his lifetime earnings over $410k. This is Lane’s second trophy from the PPT after winning his first in 2022, and he also has two rings from series in Regina.

  • Georgios Gializis Out in 2nd Place for $3,678

    Level:25 (25,000/50,000/50,000)
    Entries:1/110
    Prizes:$18,810
    Georgios Gializis

In the final hand, Deven Lane limped, then called off when Georgios Gializis shoved. Gializis had king-jack but Lane woke up with pocket queens. He flopped a queen for a massive lead and held to take down the game and send Gializis out in 2nd place.

  • Lane Takes it With Trash

    Level:25 (25,000/50,000/50,000)
    Entries:2/110
    Prizes:$18,810

It was a bit of a crazy hand that started out with a limped pot to the 3A3 flop. Things took a turn on the flop when Deven Lane checked, Georgios Gializi bet 50k, Lane raised to 125k, Gializi clicked it back to 250k, and Lane reclicked to 375k.

Gializi mucked his seven-six face up, and Lane showed seven-four suited.

  • Andy Wong Out in 3rd Place for $2,391

    Level:24 (20,000/40,000/40,000)
    Entries:2/110
    Prizes:$18,810
    Andy Wong

They are down to heads up now after Deven Lane got there with a dominated ten to send Andy Wong to the rail for 3rd place.

  • Rodica Fatol Out in 4th Place for $1,839

    Level:23 (15,000/30,000/30,000)
    Entries:3/110
    Prizes:$18,810
    Rodica Fatol

Rodica Fatol shoved her big blind after Georgios Gializi opened under the gun and Gailizi called it off with more. Fatol was ahead with A9 but it was close as Gializi had J10. Gializi flopped a jack and held to take it down.

  • Michael Vickerman Out in 5th Place for $1,416

    Level:23 (15,000/30,000/30,000)
    Entries:4/110
    Prizes:$18,810
    Michael Vicker

They are down to four now after Deven Lane shoved the button and Michael Vickerman called off his stack from the small blind. Lane was on K7 against A8 for Vicker. Lane smashed the 62K79 board to send Vickerman to the rail.

  • Leo Brouwer Out in 6th Place for $1,121

    Level:22 (15,000/25,000/25,000)
    Entries:5/110
    Prizes:$18,810
    Leo Brouwer

They are down to 5 now after Leo Brouwer woke up with a suited ace in the cutoff and shoved his stack. Unfortunately for him, he ran into ace-king suited for Rodica Fatol. The ace-king held and Brouwer was off to collect 6th place money.

  • Brouwer Doubles with Dominated Hand

    Level:22 (15,000/25,000/25,000)
    Entries:6/110
    Prizes:$18,810

Leo Brouwer shoved under the gun for the short stack worth 43k. It folded around to big blind Michael Vicker who called it off. Vicker had A4 against 104 for Brouwer but he turned open-ended and rivered a pair of tens on the J38910 board for the big double.

  • Jessy Farmer Out in 7th Place for $882

    Level:22 (15,000/25,000/25,000)
    Entries:6/110
    Prizes:$18,810
    Jessy Farmer

Jessy Farmer was left short after he doubled up Michael Vicker a few hands ago, but he managed to ladder one spot to seventh tonight from his short stack.

  • Mark Domitas Out in 8th Place for $698

    Level:22 (15,000/25,000/25,000)
    Entries:7/110
    Prizes:$18,810
    Mark Dotimas

They are down to seven now after Mark Dotimas hit the rail in 8th place.

  • Vicker Doubles

    Level:21 (10,000/20,000/20,000)
    Entries:8/110
    Prizes:$18,810

Jessy Farmer shoved from the small blind, looking to steal, but big blind Michael Vicker woke up with sevens and called off his stack. Farmer was on J5 but any hope of hitting his over faded when there was a seven in the window of the 10Q7A4 board. That hand left Vicker with around 300k while Farmer was down to fumes.

  • Georgios Gializis Leads

    Level:21 (10,000/20,000/20,000)
    Entries:8/110
    Prizes:$18,810

I’ve just had a look at the stacks and it looks like Georgios Gializis is the leader now with more than 300k in front of him. Andy Wong looks to be playing more than 200k while Michael Vicker is close to the 200k mark as well.

  • Final Table Faces

    Level:21 (10,000/20,000/20,000)

    Prizes:$18,810
    Dagan Maxwell

They are down to 8 left now after Dagan Maxwell hit the rail for 9th place shortly after they got to the final table. I missed the action while I was working on the FT pics.

  • Final Table Time

    Level:20 (10,000/15,000/15,000)
    Entries:9/110

  • Down to 10 Left

    Entries:10/110
    Prizes:$18,810

Skyler Stacey was the first player out in the money tonight for a prize of $417. That puts them on the final table bubble with the average stack at 165k for about 13 big blinds.

  • In the Money

    Level:19 (6,000/12,000/12,000
    Entries:11/110
    Prizes:$18,810

There was a double elimination with 13 players remaining so they skipped the hand-for-hand phase and got straight into the money. The average stack now is about 15 big blinds, so it’s still very much a turbo game.

  • 3 Off the Money

    Level:18 (5,000/10,000/10,000)
    Entries:14/110
    Prizes:$18,810

They are down to 14 left in the Turbo game with action in Level 18. The average stack now is just over 100k, barely 10 big blinds, so this should be a quick one from here.

  • 9 Off the Money

    Level:14 (2,000/4,000/4,000)
    Entries:20/110
    Prizes:

They are now 9 players off the money spots with 20 players left in the Turbo side game. There are just over 10 minutes to play in Level 14 and the average stack is just over 20 big blinds.

  • 110 Entries for Turbo

    Level:10 (1,000/1,500/1,500)
    Entries:32/110
    Prizes:$18,810
