The renowned WPT Prime series made its grand halt at Aix-en-Provence, introducing yet another World Poker Tour experience in the heart of Provence. With a €1,100 buy-in, the Main Event witnessed an impressive turnout of 457 entrants, spanning across four starting flights.

In the end, it was Samy Boujmala who outshone all competitors, securing himself his first victory of 2023 with a €93,580 prize, along with a €10,400 entry package to the WPT World Championship scheduled for this December at the Wynn Las Vegas.

At the start of the final table, Loic Menneteau was the chip leader with an impressive 3,570,000 stack (89 bb), while the eventual winner, Boujmala, began with a solid 2,010,000 chips (50 bb). The first casualty was Leo Soma, falling to Patrick Vitret already in the first orbit of the final day.

The table dynamics shifted dramatically when Emmanuel Gomez clashed with Boujmala, who managed to eliminate him and take the chip lead. Soon after, Jerome Lopez felt the might of Boujmala’s growing stack, becoming his next victim in 6th place.
Hugo Heiter was responsible for the next two eliminations, knocking out Patrick Viret and Adrien Amorella in 5th and 4th place, respectively, before he was sent packing by the unstoppable Boujmala.
