Alexander Tkatschew Wins Record-Breaking EUREKA tournament, Great Results From Mitja Rudolf

PokerPro.cc representative Mitja Rudolf continues his string of good results, this time at the EPT in Prague. He finished in 22nd place for €15,850 in the Eureka tournament, then sat at his first EPT tournament final table and finished in 9th place for a total of €4,350 in the HyperTurbo KO tournament. Austrian Alexander Tkatschew won the tournament and took home €511,710 in prize money.

As usual, the last stop of this year’s EPT tour is in Prague, where attendance records are once again being broken. EUREKA’s €1,100 buy-in tournament made history with a new record as 4,403 entries were registered, catapulting this event into the spotlight as the biggest main event in Eureka history. This incredible turnout brought the prize pool to a staggering €4,226,880!

Alexander Tkatschew of Austria was the winner of the record-breaking field, which earned him €511,710 of the €4,226,880 prize pool. Tkatschew has had an amazing year, as he has also registered a win at EPT Cyprus, defeating 59 runners in the $25,000 No-limit Hold’em for $432,090 prize.

Our representative Mitja Rudolf was in the game for a long time even to win this incredible tournament. In the end, as many times before, he lacked the necessary luck to make it to the end. Still, 22nd place at the record-breaking EUREKA tournament for a prize of €15,850 is a great success, as the best players from all over Europe and the whole world came to Prague to show off their skills.

Mitja rewarded his success a day later when he even made it to his first final table of the EPT tournaments. Unfortunately, he fell short of winning the trophy again, finishing the tournament in 9th place for €4,350, including bounty prizes.

All attention in Prague is now focused on the €5,300 entry fee for the main tournament, which is currently on Day 3. There are 110 players in the game, and the winner will take home a fantastic €1,030,000.
