The World Poker Tour (WPT) continues full gas into its third stop of the 2024 WPT Prime season, returning to the picturesque city of Bratislava, Slovakia. This marks only the second occasion the WPT will grace this Central European country, following last year’s inaugural and highly successful WPT Prime Slovakia that surpassed expectations, drawing in 552 entries to surpass a €500,000 guaranteed prize pool. Hungarian Maté Sándor beat Germany’s Marco Niederdeppe in a heads-up, clinching the top prize of €109,660.
Building on last year’s success, the upcoming festival, hosted by Card Casino Bratislava, is poised to be one of the season’s highlights, drawing players from across Europe to the heart of Slovakia’s capital. Scheduled to run from April 4 to 15, the festival kicks off with an exciting €200 buy-in WPT Opener, boasting a €250,000 guarantee with ten starting flights from 1A to 1J.
However, the centerpiece of every WPT Prime is the Championship event, with its €500,000 GTD and €1,100 buy-in, set to unfold from April 11 to 15. With six starting flights scheduled across Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The event is ready to once again surpass the guaranteed prize pool with ease.
