WPT Unveils Second Half of Season XXII Schedule

The World Poker Tour has kicked off Season XXII with record-breaking worldwide success across both its Main Tour and WPT Prime Tour. Building on this momentum, the WPT has now unveiled the schedule for the second half of the season.

Season 2024’s latter half will feature four Main Tour stops and four WPT Prime spots, continuing the tradition of bringing premier poker WPT experiences to as many people as possible.

“The first half of Season XXII has been outstanding,” WPT CEO Adam Pliska stated in a press release. “Looking ahead to the second half of the season, we think there is plenty for poker players to get excited about as we will host festivals on four different continents with sensational global casino partners.”

WPT Main Tour Stops

The WPT summer journey begins with a new destination in WPT Macau. From June 18 to 24, the Wynn Palace in the special administrative regions of China will play host to this inaugural event, highlighted by an HKD 40,000 (~$5,100) Main Tour Championship event running from June 20 to 24.

The tour heads next Down Under for WPT Australia, hosted by The Star Gold Coast, marking its third visit to Australia. The festival is scheduled for September 12 to 25, with the AUD 8,000 (~$5,300) Championship event set for September 20 to 25.

Florida will then take center stage in November, starting with the WPT bestbet Scramble festival at bestbet Jacksonville from October 31 to 19, culminating in a $5,000 buy-in Championship event. This will be followed closely by the WPT Seminole Hard Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open from November 20 to December 4, with the $3,500 Championship event running from November 29 to December 4.

WPT Prime Tour Stops

WPT Prime also kicks off the second half of the season in Asia with WPT Prime Taipei. Returning for the third consecutive year from August 6 to 19, the event is a collaboration with the Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association at the Asia Poker Arena. Last year’s event in Taipei was a first-ever Championship with a $1,000,000 guarantee.

The 2023 Global Poker Award-winning WPT Prime series then moves to Europe with its debut at Dusk Till Dawn for WPT Prime UK from September 11 to 16, followed by the eagerly anticipated return to WPT Prime Liechtenstein from September 18 to 30. Last year’s CHF 1,100 buy-in Main Event attracted 1,644 entries, which holds the record for the most entries for a Prime event outside of the Championship at Wynn Las Vegas.

The third WPT Prime season will conclude with the WPT Prime Paris festival at Club Circus Paris from October 14 to 27.

Both the WPT Main Tour and WPT Prime’s Season XXII will reach their climax at the WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas, which will bring together the world’s best for a grand finale.
