They are down to the final 16 players now after John Letts and Bradley Spencer recently hit the rail. That leaves them 8 off the money with just over 5 minutes to play in Level 13.

  • Final Two Tables

    Level:13 (1,500/3,000/3,000)
    Entries:18/75

  • Green Doubles in Cooler

    Level:12 (1,500/2,500/2,500)
    Entries:19/75
    Prizes:$21,375

There are about 10 minutes to play in Level 12 with a break following this level. Cliff Green just got a double for his short stack when his pocket eights held against the pocket sixes of the Seniors champ from Series 4 Ron Taylor. While the flop didn’t change anything, the board of 6A8AJ got comments from the table with Taylor commenting “Set over Set”. Taylor still had a decent stack in front of him after the hand.

  • Down to 22

    Level:12 (1,500/2,500/2,500)
    Entries:22/75
    Prizes:$21.375

Level 12 has just begun with 22 players left in the action, 14 away from the money spots. They’ll go on a break at the end of this level and I’ll get full counts for all remaining players then. The average stack right now is a bit less than 40 big blinds.

  • Final Three Tables

    Level:11 (1,000/2,000/2,000)
    Entries:25/75
    Prizes:$21,375

They are down to the final three tables in the Seniors game now with 25 players left alive. There are a bit more than 10 minutes to play in Level 11.

  • Clarke Gets a Double

    Level:10 (1,000/1,500/1,500)
    Entries:29/75
    Prizes:$21,375

Rob Lothian opened the action from under the gun with a limp and Bernard Buyar bumped it up to 4,500 from the middle. It folded around to Jeff Clarke on the big blind and he shoved for a bit more than 15k.

Lothian had a short think about it but mucked his hand before Buyar snap called it off for a race between his pocket jacks and the ace-queen for Clarke. The board of A41064 gave Clarke his ace in the window and it was all he needed to double to near 35k now.

  • Down to 29 Left

    Level:
    10 (1,000/1,500/1,500)
    Entries:29/75
    Prizes:$21,375

They are nearing the final three tables of action in the Seniors game now with 29 players left alive. There are just under 15 minutes to play in Level 10 with the next break scheduled after Level 12. I’ll grab a full chip count at the break.

  • $7,271 for the Winner

    Level:9 (600/1,200/1,200)
    Entries:32/75
    Prizes:$21,375

The prizes are now confirmed with 8 players sharing $21,375 with the winner set to pocket more than $7k at the end of the night. Full prize details are under the payouts tab.

The field is down to 32 players left now with just over 5 minutes to play in Level 9.

  • Back from Dinner

    Level:9 (600/1,200/1,200)
    Entries:37/75
    Prizes:$21,375

Entries are now closed for the first event of PPT #5 with 75 entries on the board. That number still needs confirmation, but if it holds, 8 players will be sharing in $21,375 in prizes later tonight. I’ll get a full round of chip counts at the next break.

  • Some Dinner Stacks

    Level:8 (500/1,000/1,000)
    Entries:37/75
    Prizes:$21,375

The Seniors are on their dinner break now with 75 entries on the board. I had a wander around during dinner to have a look at some stacks and it looks like George Virus is the leader right now with about 170k in front of him. See below for a few more of the bigger stacks I saw.

  • Nearly $20k in Prizes

    Level:7 (400/800/800)
    Entries:46/70
    Prizes:$19,950

They are one entry shy of $20k in prizes now with 70 entries on the board and 46 players still in the action. Level 7 has just under 10 minutes to left to play, and Level 8 will be the final level of poker to get a rebuy in.

  • About 2 Hours Left to Enter

    Level:6 (300/600/600)
    Entries:49/66
    Prizes:$18,810

There are just under 10 minutes to play in Level 6 with the field now at 66 entries for prizes of nearly $19k. There are now just over two hours left to enter this game.

  • More than $17.5k

    Level:6 (300/600/600)
    Entries:49/62
    Prizes:$17,670

The prizes are now up to $17,670 with 62 entries on the board to start Level 6. 49 players remain at the felt including Rob Lothian, who grabbed a double during Level 5.

    Level:5 (300/500/500)
    Entries:49/56
    Prizes:$15,960

There are 56 entries on the board as the players return for the start of Level 5. Entries will remain open through Level 8 and will close at the end of the dinner break following that level.

The prizes are now almost $16k, so it looks likely that we’ll see prizes of more than $20k before the entry desk shutters.

  • Break Time with 55 Entries

    Level:4 (200/400/400)
    Entries:48/55

The Seniors are just about to head out for their first break of the day as Level 4 ticks down to the end. There are 55 total entries now for prizes of $15,675 and 48 players still at the table with Pete Fylyma one of the recent new entries to the game.

  • 50 Entries

    Level:4 (200/400/400)
    Entries:45/50
    Prizes:$14,250

The Seniors field just hit 50 entries with about 15 minutes to play in Level 4. They’ll have a break following this level with four more levels of open entries to follow the break.

  • Final Level before First Break

    Level:4 (200/400/400)
    Entries:42/47
    Prizes:$13,395

With no new entries in Level 3, they are going into the final level of play before the first break of the day with 47 entries and 42 players still alive. When they return from the break there will be four more levels of open registration, followed by a 45-minute dinner break with entries closing when they sit down for Level 9 after dinner.
