  • More than 40 Entries

    Level:2 (100/200/200)
    Entries:39/41
    Prizes:$11,175

Level 2 is just underway with 41 entr\ies on the board and 29 players still alive. That pushes the prizes a bit higher than $11k.

  • Nearing $10k in Level 1

    Level:1 (100/100/100)
    Entries:35/35
    Prizes:$9,975

They are up to 35 entries with about 10 minutes to play in Level 1. That puts the prizes one entry shy of $10k total, but with more than 5 hours left to enter, that number will go up dramatically.

  • 25 Seniors in their Seats to Start

    Level:1 (100/100/100)
    Entries:25/25
    Prizes:$7,125

The action is underway for the opening event of the 2024 PPT #5 with 25 players in their seats. That puts just over $7k into the prizes to start the day.

The penultimate series for the 2024 season of the Pure Poker Rour is set to get underway, and as usual, it’s the old folks who kick things off. The Seniors First game is restricted to players 50 or older and is the first official trophy of the series. The younger folks needn’t worry, however — just four hours after the seniors kick off, the open-entry Event #2 gets going.

Cards will be in the air for the Seniors at noon on the 15th, and they have 8 levels of poker to enter or rebuy. That will put the final shot at a seat around 5 pm when the dinner break following Level 8 ends. They’ll start the game with 25k in chips and play 30-minute levels until a winner is decided, likely around 1 am.

This should be my main focus event for the day, so I should be on the job from the first hand to the last. This series we are doing something a bit new with the coverage as it’s all exclusively on PokerPro now. I’m hoping this will not only make mobile navigation of the reporting a little easier (the iframes with the previous system caused some issues for some people) and the new system also allows for sharing of individual posts. I’ll be interested in feedback on how this compares to what we’ve been doing so far this year.
