Super High Roller series by Triton Poker will be even more exciting for both, the players and the viewers, in 2020, as the best players will compete for the Triton Player of the Year – POY award. Along the prestigious title, the winner will also receive a reward of 2 million HKD ($250,000).
Players will collect points across four venues this year, with three of them already confirmed; Jeju (10th – 22nd of February), Montenegro (4th – 18th of May) and London (29th of July – 13th of August). For the fall/winter event there is a special surprise planned.
Scoring system could be a bit unusual for some, as players will, alongside points for finishing in the top12 position, also receive points for being punctual on the tournament (2 points), for every entry and re-entry (3 points). And all the points will be multiplied based on the amount of buy-in and the number of registered players.
There will be extra 100 points given to the best player at a separate festival venue.
First stop of this years Triton High Roller series will be in Jeju, South Korea. From 10th to 22nd of February there will be 12 different events happening in NL Hold’em, Short deck and Mixed format.
We expect most of the eyes will be pointed towards the NLHE and Short Deck Main Events, both featuring 1.000.000 HKD ($128,000) buy-in.
We expect all the big names of poker to be in South Korea, including the Triton ambassadors, Tom Dwan and Jason Koon, alongside the winner of the biggest tournament Aaron Zang and the legendary Phil Ivey himself.
We will be able to watch all the action for free on their official Twitch, Youtube and Facebook channels. Make sure to stay tuned to PokerPro website for live updates from the Triton Poker series.
