Triton Super High Roller Series Lands in Montenegro

The Maestral Resort & Casino in Budva, Montenegro is ready to become a key venue in the poker world as it hosts the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series from May 12 to May 26, 2024. This prominent stop on the 2024 tour promises high stakes and high tension with some of the globe’s top poker players and elite business moguls expected to participate.

Poker enthusiasts will have the opportunity to witness some of the world’s best poker players and wealthiest business figures go head-to-head. The buy-ins range significantly, with the least expensive event costing $26,150 and the priciest one hitting a staggering $212,000.

Kicking Off with High Stakes

The action begins on May 12 with the $26,150 No-Limit Hold’em GGMillion$ Live 8-Handed event. This particular event had previously drawn 305 entries and generated a $7,625,000 prize pool at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in Jeju earlier in March 2024. Mario Mosböck clinched the victory, walking away with $1,191,196.

Noteworthy Events

Among other anticipated events is the $53,000 No-Limit Hold’em Bounty Quattro, previously won by Dan Smith in Jeju for $1,251,000. The schedule also features a $106,000 No-Limit Hold’em 8-Handed event, and the prestigious $132,500 Triton Main Event. Roman Hrabec recently won the Jeju Main Event, earning a career-high of $4,330,000.

Special Attention to Pot-Limit Omaha

The series will culminate with exclusive focus on Pot-Limit Omaha in the final three days, promising high-stakes excitement with events such as a $52,000 buy-in tournament.

Interestingly, this year’s Montenegro stop does not include Short Deck Hold’em events, a game type that has been popular in previous Triton series. Further details might be revealed during the festival’s live streams available on the Triton Poker website.

Who to Watch

Notable poker stars such as Jason Koon, Isaac Haxton, Stephen Chidwick, and Daniel Dvoress are expected to participate. Legends like Patrik Antonius and Phil Ivey, who appeared at the PokerStars European Poker Tour Monte Carlo festival, are also potential participants.
